Kay is the Founder and Managing Director of The Immigration People, a firm she grew from a two-person startup into a trusted consultancy serving a wide portfolio of global professionals, business owners, and families seeking residency solutions in Singapore.

With a background in elite client service from her early career at Singapore Airlines, Kay brings precision, emotional intelligence, and discretion into every client engagement. Since entering the immigration space in 2017, she has personally overseen hundreds of successful applications—many involving high-stakes or time-sensitive outcomes.

Her strength lies in understanding what’s at stake for each client, anticipating challenges before they arise, and delivering clear, actionable strategies that work. Under her leadership, The Immigration People has become known for its integrity, efficiency, and results—backed by a growing reputation built entirely through word of mouth and consistent delivery.

Kay leads with quiet confidence and a results-first mindset. She brings warmth, composure, and clarity to every conversation—qualities that resonate with senior clients navigating personal or business transitions. Outside the office, she recharges through travel, music, and meaningful connection—but remains deeply committed to her craft and to the clients who trust her with their next chapter.

Elena started her career in this industry in Aug 2014. Her mother being a Malaysian had applied for her PR and subsequently Singapore Citizenship and even as a child Elena was fascinated by the whole process. Her interest in the industry grew as she witnessed how big an impact the right immigration status had on people and their lives. In her experience working in the Immigration Industry, she felt, the fact that this industry was not regulated left a lot of room for unscrupulous practices by companies that did not have the right values. After coming across a lot of people who had been conned, misrepresented, or charged inappropriately and did not even receive the services they paid for, Elena and her colleague & friend Kay, often had long discussions where they shared the desire to be able to serve all clients the right way. Through their discussions, they crystalized the idea of a company with certain values and missions and these discussions paved the way for TIP.

She loves taking care of her two beautiful cats. Her love for Japan will never dwindle. She can speak in Japanese and can read mangas into the wee hours of the night.

In the little spare time that she gets she likes to listen to music while she whisks up a yummy meal. She enjoys reading a book, or just reads online.

Sam is a seasoned professional whose journey started with the establishment of his business, Herald Homestay, a business dedicated to providing invaluable support to foreign students and expatriates navigating life in Singapore. Through his venture, he has assisted numerous individuals in securing their essential services such as their accommodations and their school admissions. Furthermore, he is a licensed financial advisor with the expertise to help expats achieve their long-term financial aspirations. In his role with The Immigration People, Sam seamlessly blends his background in Computer Science with his passion for aiding others. Sam plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s technological landscape as he spearheads the development and implementation of digital components to our services. He also developed an innovative online portal that integrates our services into a single, user-friendly interface that not only enhances efficiency but also adds a layer of convenience, streamlining the entire process for our clients.

Sam finds solace and balance in his passions for singing and playing the piano. His passion reminds him of the significance of self-care in a fast-paced world. Beyond his passion for music, Sam devotes himself to volunteer work and generously contributes his time and resources to make a positive impact on the lives of less fortunate individuals—both within his local community and across borders.

With more than 8 years of experience in the Immigration Industry and a keen eye for quality Sheryl is rightly our Senior Documents Controller and Quality Assurance Officer. She keeps a strict check on all the documents and Operating Procedures. While constantly working towards improving and making the systems more efficient, Sheryl uses her vast experience and exposure to structure each profile most appropriately. She works hard to keep both online and offline processes updated.

Do not be misled by the quiet demeanor of this badass gamer. In her free time, you will find her sharpening her senses by playing games on her specialized computer. Working quietly sitting in a corner you will typically not even notice her until you raise an issue and that is when you see the depth of her knowledge and experience.

Liyah, is a Senior Documents Controller and has been with The Immigration People team since the very beginning, her clients find her friendly and approachable as much as they appreciate her professionalism. Working in the Immigration industry since early 2018, Liyah has a huge number of cases to her credit. She has handled some of the complex cases and managed to prepare all the documentation to the highest standards even for the complex or expedited cases. Behind her friendly face is a very professional, sharp, and prompt person.

Liyah can set you cracking with her funny jokes. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her motorcycle in a large group and having fun. She enjoys spending time with her furbabies and has a great affinity for the feline family. Her hobbies include trying out new dishes she finds on YouTube. Her first love will always be seafood!

Professional

Chloe has over five years of experience in Singapore’s inbound immigration industry, bringing a meticulous and detail-oriented approach to document handling. She ensures complete accuracy and strict compliance with regulatory requirements while staying up to date on the latest policy changes and regulations. This allows her to provide seamless and efficient support to her clients. In addition to immigration applications, Chloe has extensive experience managing work pass applications, ensuring a smooth and timely process for both employers and employees. Passionate about assisting individuals and families, Chloe is dedicated to making the immigration journey as seamless and stress-free as possible. 

Personal

Beyond her professional career, Chloe is an avid Pilates and gym enthusiast. She is dedicated to maintaining her fitness through regular exercise routines and is constantly exploring new fitness challenges to enhance her well-being. As a true dessert enthusiast, she enjoys indulging in sweet treats and never starts her day without a well-brewed cup of coffee. Known for her vibrant personality, she brings bright laughter, energy, and life to the office. Her enthusiasm and warmth make her a joy to work with, and she naturally uplifts those around her with her infectious spirit and approachable nature. 

Sheetal is a seasoned Senior Immigration Associate with over 7 years of experience in the immigration industry, including 3 years with KPMG. She has witnessed significant changes in the Singapore Immigration landscape over the past decade and, as a Permanent Resident herself, has undergone this journey first-hand. Sheetal has continuously adapted to the evolving needs of the immigration process, staying current with industry updates. Her proficiency spans various areas, including immigration procedures, employment passes, and holding a Certified Employment Intermediary (CEI) license. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, she goes the extra mile to ensure a seamless journey for her clients.

Sheetal is a dedicated and efficient professional who adeptly balances her career and personal life. As a mother of two, she excels in multitasking and prioritizing what matters most. She cherishes every moment spent with her children, whether it’s cooking a meal, creating art, or enjoying a family movie night with her spouse. Aqilah stands out as one of the youngest members of The Immigration People. Her bright demeanour brings youthful energy and spirit to the team. Despite her age, Aqilah showcases a level of professionalism that belies her youth. She works efficiently and approaches tasks with a sense of responsibility and precision. As the Immigration Coordinator, she plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to the Immigration Associate team. Her work enables the Immigration Associates to devote their time and attention to their clients. Aqilah’s enthusiasm shines through as she willingly lends her assistance to her colleagues while going above and beyond to deliver exceptional service whenever and wherever it is required.

Aqilah is a delightful companion who loves talking about the latest pop-culture trends. She is chronically online and stays up to date on the latest trends. During her free time, you’ll often find her engrossed in various fictional books as she immerses herself in the captivating stories she has read. Aqilah could go on and on talking about her favourite book tropes and why she loves them so much. Aside from that, she loves food competition shows and exploring new halal-friendly food places with her sister.

Shereen is a seasoned and skilled Senior Immigration Consultant in The Immigration People. With a keen eye for detail and an innate strategic acumen, Shereen has not only mastered the art of navigating complex immigration landscapes but has also elevated it with her innovative thinking and practical approach. Her remarkable ability to infuse personalized service with meticulous planning sets her apart as a guiding light for those embarking on their immigration journey. With over 5 years of experience, Shereen has a track record of working with many intricate cases. Her out-of-the-box thinking ensures that even the most intricate cases are tackled with an inventive flair that yields results. Before entering the immigration industry, Carina worked in the logistics sector as an account manager for over four years. Through her role, she has a background of working with industry verticals, government sectors, corporate accounts, and financial institutions. Her expertise in client relations and understanding of diverse backgrounds positions her as a valuable asset in her transition to the immigration industry. Carina takes pride in guiding individuals and corporations through the complexities of immigration, ensuring their confidence and ease throughout the process. She is committed to providing personalised solutions and is passionate about achieving the best outcome for her clients. The meaningful impact on the lives of her clients brings her personal satisfaction and drives her dedication to the field. Additionally, her fluency in both Mandarin and English enhances her ability to cater to a diverse clientele effectively.

On a personal level, Carina’s creativity shines through her passion for crafting. With over four years of experience as a real estate negotiator, Jeno brings a client-focused and results-driven approach to the immigration industry. Now working in immigration, he applies the same dedication, attention to detail, and personalised service that made him a trusted advisor in real estate to help clients successfully navigate Permanent Residency (PR) applications and other immigration matters.

Throughout his real estate career, Jeno developed a strong ability to listen attentively, identify client needs, and deliver tailored solutions. He is committed to ensuring that the entire PR application process is smooth, transparent, and as stress-free as possible for every client.

Personal

Jeno is someone who loves discovering the world—whether through travel, meeting new people, or appreciating the small details that make each culture unique. Travelling is one of his greatest passions, and he enjoys exploring different countries, experiencing diverse cultures, and admiring beautiful landscapes and architecture. Of course, he never misses the opportunity to try local cuisines and delicacies.

In his free time, Jeno enjoys playing badminton and pickleball. These activities not only help him stay active, but also give him the chance to meet new people and have fun.
